Where can you purchase the wire taps? Can you just put them anywhere on the wire or do you have to put them on the end? Also do you hook the power cord of the amp strait to the battery or do you go through the fuse box or something? Also i was wondering if you left the amp hooked up to the battery and tried to jump start the car would it blow the amp?
the wire taps can be bought at a hardware store.

Its hard to explain, but the tap covers over the factory wire, and then you stick the end of the wire you want to tap into the wire tap, and clamp it down

As for jump starting, you will be fine with jump starting the car with an amp hooked to it

Yea.. My mom gets in the car and drives it. And hates the bass, so she goes through the tuning and turnes the bass all the way down, and messes with alot of stuff, then it takes me 30 minutes to get it tuned back to where I like it. So it would be cool to be able just to turn off the amp when she drives it.

Shouldn't be hard to do.
Get a multi-meter, a couple beer and start testing the wires to see which one is hot with the key in the run possition, and not when it's off.
Splice in a pair of wires so you can put the switch where you want it and go.
I'm thinking 30 minute job if you want a clean install.

From the pics I have seen of the mopar amp, it is not a simple remote/GND/PWR. Its a wiring harness with all the wires mashed together.

Otherwise, my recommendations are exactly like you said, adding a switch to the remote wire.

wow, look at all that can bus wiring going through there..

My suggestion, dont touch the can wires

i think you should put switches on all the can bus wires and then play with them, just to screw with the nazi can bus.

yea right, so that every time he flips a switch, the left headlight comes on, the right windshield wiper comes on, and the front drivers window and rear right window roll down
